The side blades (wings) will spring open revealing an open center cut hole. Hold the cutter by placing your thumb on the outside of one open wing and finger(s) on the outside of the other open wing. You may also place your forefinger and pinky on the concave portion at the top and bottom of the cutter for four-point control. Place the head of the cigar into the opening. Squeeze together tightly to cut your cigar. The two sides operate independently of one another and will snap shut against each other and lock in place. CAUTION – SHARP! The blades of a cigar cutter are extremely sharp! The cutter is designed to cut only a cigar – use only as intended. Do not place any object other than a cigar in the cutting aperture of the cutter. Damage as a result of misuse may void your warranty. Never touch the blade edges with your thumb or fingers! MAINTENANCE We recommend that you periodically clean your cutter. Use a small brush or compressed air to remove any excess buildup of dust, lint, tobacco etc. To avoid potential injury, do not touch blade edges with your thumb or fingers! WARNING: READ BEFORE OPERATING YOUR TOMMY BAHAMA LIGHTER. GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONSGENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ⦁ Extremely flammable. Lighter contains butane gas under pressure!  Use with caution. ⦁ Follow all instructions carefully. Failure to follow instructions can result in serious personal injury. ⦁ Always keep out of the reach of children and away from all open flame sources! ⦁ Extreme heat is present above the visible flame. Extra care should be taken to prevent injury. ⦁ Hold lighter away from face and clothing while filling or igniting lighter. ⦁ Do not keep lit for more than 10 seconds. ⦁ Make sure flame is extinguished before attempting to refill. ⦁ Never attempt to ignite lighter while refilling. ⦁ Only refill lighter in a well-ventilated area. ⦁ Never fill lighter around any heat source, sparks or flame. ⦁ Follow all butane canister warning labels and instructions. ⦁ Never expose lighter to prolonged sunlight or temperatures at or above 120°. ⦁ Use only premium grade butane (impurities less than 30 ppm). Lower quality butane is known to clog lighters. 6 EASY STEPS TO FILLING / REFILLING YOUR LIGHTER 6 EASY STEPS TO FILLING / REFILLING YOUR LIGHTER  ⦁ Before refilling release all existing fuel within the tank. Hold the lighter vertically upside down while using a small screwdriver or a multi-tool bleeder to press down on the intake valve. This will release all pressure. Repeat this process until all gas pressure is released. ⦁ Set the flame adjustment to the lowest setting (-). ⦁ To fill turn the lighter into the upside down position and insert butane canister tip directly into the fuel intake valve. ⦁ Press down firmly for approximately 5 seconds. Butane will discharge from the canister into the lighter. ⦁ Before igniting lighter wait 3-4 minutes to allow any excess butane build-up to evaporate and for the gas inside the tank to acclimate to room temperature. ⦁ Set flame height to the desired level by turning the adjustment valve (+/ -). IGNITING THE LIGHTER IGNITING THE LIGHTER ⦁ Push in (down) on the ignition switch(es). This will ignite a powerful flame that is over 2000°. This flame can be nearly invisible in bright light. CAUTION AND ATTENTION IS NECESSARY. ⦁ To avoid heat buildup do not employ a continuous flame for more than 10 seconds at a time. The lighter will become too hot and may cause harm to the user and/or lighter. ⦁ DO NOT TOUCH TOP OF LIGHTER DURING IGNITION OR JUST THEREAFTER. EXTINGUISHING THE FLAME ⦁ Releasing the pressure from the ignition button of the lighter will extinguish the flame by stopping the fuel flow.⦁ If flame continues turn the flame level down by adjustment the valve toward the (-) position. CARING FOR YOUR LIGHTER ⦁ Before storing lighter for an extended period, empty all fuel.  If the lighter has not been used for a long period of time and it appears not to be working, empty all fuel from lighter. Proceed to refill lighter by following Refill instructions. ⦁ Clean burner chamber periodically with compressed air to keep it free of ash, dust and carbon build-up which may affect performance of lighter. Do not attempt this while igniting lighter. ⦁ Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of unit.
